And shout for joy!
Life is happening right now- all around us!
It is hot.
And very humid.
I get cranky and grouchy and short tempered when I’m hot.
So this is a visual reminder to me (and you, if you need it)
That we can choose.
And today, I choose joy and trust that God will provide it.
Because He provides for all my needs.
…the Joy of the Lord is my strength …”
Nehemiah 8:1o
Hi Heidi! I love the picture of Aidan, I don’t do very well in hot weather either. It ‘s better if I just stay away. However, I am going to choose joy and trust God. Are we on for tomorrow? Do you want to go to the oak cupboard?
Find a shady spot and drink a glass of lemonade. Or hang out at the library and enjoy the quiet and the air conditioning. Our first house didn’t have central air, so on really hot days, Megan and I would go to the library or to the mall and have soft pretzels and lemonade. It was such a nice break from the heat.
Good for you to choose joy.
Oh Adrienne,
We do have central air- but I feel like such a prisoner inside- and going out just isn’t a good option. The heat is oppressive even with air conditioning and I just needed to remember that I need to choose the best that God has to offer- His joy- His strength- and all of this because of His Son!
Thank you for your encouragement. I hope things are a little better at your house today!
Smile again today Heidi… it’s gonna be a scorcher… tomorrow WILL be cooler! Your grandson is adorable!
Very very nice picture. I can’t wait to meet him!
I’m smiling, Jill- hope it doesn’t start looking like a grimace!
Karen- Did I read somewhere that you are coming back to the states for a visit next year?
Hang in there, Heidi. The heat sounds oppressive, but how blessed are you to have such a smiley little man to brighten your world!
